Limestone home and timber-clad extension above a terraced garden of lavender, grasses and a Norfolk pine

A timber-clad extension and a coastal garden added to a limestone Cottesloe home.

The new pavilion steps above the original house with a gym, terrace and ocean views, wrapped in battened timber and trailing jasmine. At the street, limestone walls and corten rings hold drifts of lavender, grasses and agave beneath a Norfolk pine.

Aerial view of the extension with rooftop solar, the pool courtyard, gravel driveway and native planting
Upper terrace with battened balustrade and jasmine-draped planters beside the original hipped roof
Timber deck with folding battened screens and a view across the treetops to the ocean
Home gym lined in timber with a mirrored wall and views to the terrace
Gym opening onto the terrace through folding timber screens
Limestone stair rising from the garage past lit timber storage shelving
